You are throwing a Birthday Party.

To avoid uninvited guest, you decided to set a password.
An uninvited guest waited by the door and listened.

A guest knocked on the door and the doorman said, “Twelve”.
The guest replied, “Six” and was let in.

A second guest came to the door and the doorman said, “Six”.
The guest replied, “Three” and was let in.

The uninvited guest smiled and walked up to the door.

The doorman said, “Sixteen”.
The uninvited guest replied happily, “Eight” but was NOT let in.

Why? What is the correct password?

Answer :

The correct password is “Seven”.

Why?

The password is not half of what the doorman ask, it is the
number of letters of the word the doorman says. 🙂

“Twelve” consists of 6 letters T w e l v e
hence the password is “Six”.

“Six” consists of 3 letters S i x
hence the password is “Three”.

“Sixteen” consists of 7 letters S i x t e e n
hence the correct password should be “Seven”.
