Stegosaurus was a large, plant-eating dinosaur that lived during the late Jurassic Period, about 150.8 million to 155.7 million years ago.
In terms of size, the Stegosaurus was large and heavily built. On average, a fully grown Stegosaurus was around 9 metres (30ft) in length, 4 metres (14ft) in height and up to nearly 5 metric tons in weight.
The Stegosaurus had 17 bony plates along its spine and a powerful spiked tail. Although the Stegosaurus body was large, the size of their brain was only around the size of a dog’s.
This simple water experiment not only helps in our parent-child bonding with Leeroy, it also humbles us that we do not know the names of these dinosaurs and gives us an opportunity to learn together. 🙂
