Measure 45 minutes using 2 Strings – Logic Test Questions
Question :
You have 2 equal length Strings.
Both of them have property that when fire is lit from one end,
it will take 60 minutes to completely burn the String.
However, the Strings does not burn at consistent speed
(E.g It might be possible to burn 30% in 45 minutes and
the remaining 70% in 15 minutes).
So, how to measure 45 minutes using these 2 Strings?

Answer :
Step 1) Lit the 1st String from both ends and lit the 2nd String from one end only.
Step 2) After 30 minutes (The 1st String would be completely burned out),
start to burn from the other end of the 2nd String.
Step 3) It would be 45 minutes when the 2nd String is completely burned out.
